The only issue I have been having is some incredibly dry, flaky skin on my face. She said it isn't a side effect of the hormones, but she thought she knew what it was. Perioral dermatitis. She prescribed some gel to treat it. Oddly, this condition is usually only seen in women. Now, I am not sure if this is what I have, or maybe a reaction to the numbing cream that we use for electrolysis.
We talked about my estrodial levels, which are in the normal low range and after she took some measurements, (Hips and boobs have increased an 1" since my last visit) we decided to increase my dosage. She gave me the option of moving to 3 patches at a time, or injections. I opted for 3 patches right now. They seem to work just fine. Maybe in the future I will contemplate the injections though. I will have another blood test in a month. After that, I had an appointment with my therapist. I hadn't seen her since April and she is very much pregnant! She is the third woman at my various clinics that I noticed were pregnant this week! Anyway, it was nice to share many of the great things that have happened to me since April. I will get to see her one more time before the baby arrives.
